And the Circle is Complete!

Wow... this is probably one of my crowning moments as a brony and the culmination of something that began early last year as of this writing. Allow me to explain:

For those playing at home, this is Tara Strong, the voice of Twilight Sparkle and countless other characters. This is the third time I've met her thus far, with the first two times being the Toy Art Gallery signing that took place in May of 2012 and at Bronycon a month later (seen here: [link] ). Here's how things progressed:

I had been browsing the internet in the weeks leading up to to the TAG signing event, and noticed something very odd. Although it was extremely easy to find fan art of ponies dressed as Batman characters, the most obvious one was nowhere to be found: Twilight Sparkle as Batgirl from The New Batman Adventures (The joke here being that this particular Batgirl was voiced by Tara Strong). When I actually met Tara for the first time, I informed her of this grave fan art deficiency, and she suggested that I take a stab at making it myself.

I later met her again at Bronycon, where she jokingly berated me for not bringing her a present (lots of fans give her gifts in the form of their fan works). After that, I decided to actually follow through on her earlier suggestion of making fan art. The result was this picture: [link] .

And so, I made it my mission to get a framed print of that piece into her hands. And at Las Pegasus Unicon, I succeeded, rectifying the lack of fan art and previous lack of a present all in one fell swoop! She was so happy with it, that she gave me a free autograph! ^_^


An epic adventure, if I may say so myself. I wonder what'll be next for the Coloring Book Guy...
